What a ledge! I'm supporting him from now on just for the refreshing lack of bullshit for a change..
-
• #3803
He's very quiet on his own team mates though, eh?

Hichem Chaabane gets popped!

Never heard of him (sorry) but his French wiki says:
Depuis le début de l'année 2015, il comptait sept victoires sur les courses UCI, toute obtenue en Algérie, ce qui le classait troisième au classement des coureurs les plus victorieux derrière Alexander Kristoff et Richie Porte.
(Since the start of 2015 he has won 7 UCI races, all in Algeria, which put him third in the world for races won behind Alexander Kristoff and Richie Porte.)

Big fish, small pond, busy doctor.

Since apologised but more importantly not deleted the tweet - pretty telling.

Aru's management are consulting with lawyers, so he'd better be quick.
I'm all for the fight against both doping and omertà, but making unsubstantiated allegations on Twitter against your fellow pros seems a bit counter productive. If you've got concrete evidence then share it with the relevant authorities, if you're spreading gossip then best keep that to yourself.

There must be some pretty obvious signs if he's outing him on twitter. Good on him.
And maybe he does have evidence.

Conveniently regular trips to South America where a certain Dr Ferrari is apparently practicing?
-
• #3811
He's back tracking faster than a Second World War Italian tank, so I doubt that very much.
You can see why he has a reputation for being one of the most unpopular riders in the peloton.
-
• #3812
In a way it sort of adds credence to him being the secret pro - clearly can't keep his thoughts to himself.

• #3813
I prefer to think of it more like rappers having 'beef'.
Hendo vs fabs r. U.
I'm not sure which one is west coast. -
• #3814
its a shame that article has stopped - was so much better than most of the normal cycling journalism
-
• #3815
Because he says what he thinks and sod the offended? I still reckon good on him. It'll just be his management telling him they can't afford the legal bills..
Aru added to my list of riders to swear at..

He wasn't very vocal when Hincapie, a former teammate, confessed was he? He's also kept his own counsel on the persistent rumours about two of his current Lotto teammates.
He's gossiping. Which is fine between mates or colleagues, less so when you do it in public on the Internet.
As for Aru, who knows if he's clean or not, but in the absence of any formal doping charges, isn't it right to give him the benefit of the doubt?
-
• #3817
yup^ he knows that mud sticks and is throwing it. Not ok without proper evidence. Hopefully if he has concerns then he has informed the UCI/WADA and not just the twitterati
-
• #3818
more importantly i have aru in my fantasy team so was expecting big things from him this season.

You have to hope that if Astana is under close supervise that particular den of dopers will be eliminated. If they can still dope with impunity despite the measures against them then there is no hope.
-
• #3820
Perhaps he's just a bit ill?
-
• #3821
Pros do get sick a lot, 3% body fat and all of that

Bought some allergy tablets in Italy

So is that saying it's not a doping substance or that it is and you mustn't use it for doping? :)

What is Vava on now? It's certainly not Alpecin, but it's something...

there's this weird stuff called talent, some say he fell into a kettle of that in his youth
Greg Henderson straight shooting.
