• Vitus 979 with Dura Ace derailleurs, brakes, chainset & hubs.
    Shifters: Claris (modern).
Wheels: Dura Ace hubs and Mavic Open 4 CD rims
    Stem: 3TTT
    Seatpost: Dura Ace (?)
    Bars: Cinelli
    Headset: Shimano 600

Everything works perfectly. The Claris shifters work really well with the Dura Ace front and rear derailleurs and 8 speed cassette. Shifting is dead on.
Dura Ace 7400 (7402?) 8 speed STI shifters are available on eBay quite often for around 80 quid if you want the full Dura Ace look.
The seatpost is secured with a grubscrew (it´s a post ´86 frame) but that works fine too.
All in all a brilliant, light bike that is a match for most modern bikes, but looks a lot nicer IMHO. The ride is super comfortable without the frame losing stiffness. I´m 80kgs and never had a problem with flex. Also the bonded tubes are still well bonded. I can´t imagine you´d be able to unbond them if you tried.

I´ve bough a titanium bike which takes guards and a rack as my all-rounder, and unfortunately haven´t got room for both bikes. I´ll miss it though :(
It´s in good condition with the usual light scratches for a bike of its age. No cracks, dings, dents etc.
I´m 6´2" and it´s fine for me. I probably would fit a 60cm frame better though.
    £450 o.n.o.
Collection only please. I live near Clapham Common or could meet in Grays Inn Road.
