There's a whole thread of singlespeed MTBs.
Put a hub gear in it or sell it on and get a different frame if you want shifting

Most likely it is a DJ frame or styled as one. You could think of it as an overgrown BMX. There are xc folk as well who are into ss riding.

The early Inbred was a single speed only cross country frame and used track ends. There was also a 853 limited run of that version of the frame.
As title - uncovered F+F in a cellar. Cleaned it up and was ready to build it back up (had most parts with it) maybe as a little tourer...only to discover with dismay that it had track ends.
What use can a mountain bike be without gears? Is single speed mtb a thing? Should i give up on the idea of a tourer then? Am i missing something - any way to run gears?
