• It must be really hard fitting someone for ironman, as it's such a compromise between wanting aeros and needing comfort.

    Having worked out an estimate of my CDA (0.24) and tested I can put a decent amount of power (297 watts for a 10 - big woop I know) in my current position I've dropped the front end by 20mm, as my position looks very upright in the pictures of a race I did a few weeks ago, and it doesn't seem too extreme to do, will test on Sunday over a long ride, a test threshold session on Tuesday and then again on the tt course.

    Hopefully it doesn't go as badly as my last attempt at making myself more aero in which I couldn't hit 200w in the aerobars for a half IM!

    Steve Irwin went sub-20:00 on about 320W, so you just need to shave about 0.07m2 off your CdA without losing any power and you'll be quite quick :-)
