Rode the Lynskey from Wivelsfield to Eastbourne and a few laps around Beachy Head on Saturday, aside from the head wind it was a great ride... She will be missed!!

Right, get this thread back on track... Managed to keep the wolves from the door so far - couldn't resist putting the newly serviced Reynolds back on to remind myself how much fun this bike is... Really needs a 0 degree stem... @MartinERK swap?

Soo... A few days ago I got a bike shop near work to fit some new chainrings and chain for me as I had no time to do it myself - they also replaced the rear dérailleur cable and adjusted the rear mech...
When changing gear on my way into work this morning the mech went into the spokes resulting in wrecked mech and buckled wheel...
Is this something I should bring to the attention of the mechanic at the shop?
Im ever so slightly miffed about it.

Yep, absolutely. That's terrible...

Fuck :( take it to the shop and get it sorted before naming and shaming if you are still unhappy with the solution.

How can a rear derailleur end in the spokes without the hanger breaking; what did they do?
Sheldon: Normally, the limit stops need to be set when a new derailer is installed, and should not require any further attention. If they seem to need adjustment on a bicycle that used to work properly, it is usually an indication that the derailer is bent. Trying to correct a bent derailer with the adjusting screws is OK as a temporary field repair, but is not a correct long-term repair.

Like a few ti bikes I've seen the hanger is just a part of the dropout.
It's probably bent now, too, though.
@Howard Cheers! that's my local shop... though I'm normally in there with Gazelles...
