  • Bit late I know, but had you seen this ? Could have been a way of minimising the retensioning required on your dinglespeed set up by giving the same tooth differential on front and rear.

How did that work out by the way?

  • What's the a-c on the fork? This years croix de fer carbon disc fork has pannier bosses.

  • not tapered though?

  • Not tapered indeed. But a different bottom cup could sort that out.

  • study shot with the correct rack before it headed to bespoked

  • I reckon thats the best way with a rack like that.

I was thinking about using straight aerobar extensions and hanging dry bag from them.
Keeps it more aero than panniers but also on the front.

  • You should get MSR pocket rocket and small fuel canister. Better than meths.

Or get a stove and just use wood and bits.
    Each to their own!

    but cool cool bike.

  • What's the fire extinguisher for?

  • trangia meths fuel bottle

  • Yeah hopefully reasonably aero. need to fine out though if the revelate gas tank will be just about big enough for little things i need to grab mid-ride without having to repack drybags!

  • Get a full frame bag!

Or move the bottle cages down and put in a bigger top bag.

But gas tank is fair size.

  • what cage are you using for the trangia gas? need something like that for the tandem innit.

  • so it made it to bespoked!? :)

Does the bike buddy rattle at all?

  • Loving the fuel bottle setup. Never seen that before! I have a petrol powered MSR that's the bees knees.

  • I have a tourer from the 80s with a bottle cage down there.

@laner so whats changing gear with the dingle thingy like out on the road?

  • Was at bespoked, though displayed high up so no-one could see the scratches :D

Bike buddy does rattle a tiny bit on cobbles but fine the rest of the time
Also this alternative looks quite secure http://www.freeparable.com/monkiicage

@Skülly as my tour was flat as the proverbial pancake i haven't actually tested dingling yet!

  • From my experience, undo QR and slacken chain, shift chain from big to small then small to big, tension and do up QR. Takes about 20s. Greasy fingers though

  • The tail supernova on the photo is pretty bad fitted, isn't it?

  • Fork rack mounts should be fixed by this weekend, then sent off for painting.... soon, again

  • rebirth!
