  • If I get a chance while in Belfast I'll try to see this:
    http://belfastfilmfestival.org/films/a-girl-walks-home-at-night

  • Cool, shall I message you which ones I'll go see and my cell in case you're about?

Just saw "a pigeon sat on a branch reflecting existence" not bad, roy Anderson had a very distinct style. Part 3/3 of his series.

"You the living" film 2/3 of the trilogy is IMHO most accessible and memorable but all worth a watch.

  • That would be great @JWestland free Monday and Tuesday evenings for film viewing

  • Just got round to seeing Wild Tales. One the tales has been rendered especially dark by recent events, and some of the others are pretty gruesome on their own.

Other than that, well worth a watch if you like a good black comedy, probably not great for romantic dates/ family occasions/ etc.

  • Batman vs. Superman trailer.

    I weed a little.

  • chungchung, BWAAAAAaaAAAAAAp, messianic exposition, silly gruff batman voice and not a single ruddy punch thrown!

    rubbish.

  • Any dark haired girl who walks home at night in Belfast gets tortured and killed by Jamie Dornan, innit?

  • ^^

Yeah, but 30 year old story arc rehashed in the cinema.

    What's not to love?

  • Rabid Dogs (197something)

From the gallio era, so suffers from some of the bad and the good of that time. A robbery goes terribly awry, and the ribbers kidnap a man and his sick son, and a woman.

Plays mostly inside the car in a claustrophobic and stuffy atmosphere. Its all about the criminals? Perhaps but defgo not Tarantino style. Well worth a watch.

  • In a good way? I'm not keen.

  • So yeah, there's this big superhero film out tomorrow...

  • the traveling wilburys in tights!

  • The reviews seem to suggest it holds up to the first with it's fun factor, so that's fine by me. You could probably say this is the last one before it all gets a little more srs

  • Should have got Symeon Brown to do the interview instead, it'd have been a hoot.

  • Didn't think I'd ever say this, but I'm abit superheroed out. Though the Netflix Daredevil was great.

  • the ending was a bit rushed. and where was 'The Joker'?

  • Yeah, fair criticism. But the fight choreography, cinematography and lighting was brilliant. But the best bit was the relationship between Wilson Fisk and Vanessa.

  • So. Much. Fighting. So. Boring.

  • Edge of Tomorrow.

Really enjoyed it. Not sure why. I Guess theres a lot of Scope for Entertainment in a scifi action, providing you have a bit of Budget and a half descent script.

  • More on Alan Rickman's rubbish film:

Almost everything – the sight of a wheel, a loud sound, construction work – triggers a flashback for De Barra, who is carrying a dark secret about a lost child. It’s like Gravity, but on Earth. “Do you admire the master [Le Nôtre]?” Louis XIV asks De Barra. She replies, inexplicably: “He is the most complete person I know.” Since his character remains opaque, we’ll have to take her word for it. There is no chemistry between Le Nôtre and De Barra, but you know they’re going to have to have sex eventually. When they finally get down, it triggers yet more heavy-handed lost-child flashbacks, and is so boring even Le Nôtre falls asleep.

    Even Stanley Tucci's wasted.

  • Only if you don't like fighting. I do. Well, I like action/movement.

  • Saw this tonight in Stratford. Only 7 of us in the audience. Lovely film, thoroughly heatwarming.

  • Yes the fighting in Daredevil is amazing, often really tense, and the characters (Foggy is fun, fisk is complex) . Good series and the usual nods to the MCU. Looking forward to AoU now that I'm Marvelled-up after watching Captain A Winter, and Agents of Sh.
