Calling myself out:
Riding on the pavement through Aldgate, walking pace and daydreaming. Rode straight into one of the PCSO's fining RLJers on the junction. Told her I was daydreaming, got off scott free. Profit?!

Funny how plod can trawl hours of CCTV when a ped gets knocked down by a rogue rider, yet curiously don't have the time/resources when it's a cyclist on the floor.

To be fair the ped - a "social media manager" - only got results after harassing them on Twitter.
Maybe we should find out how, and then we'll be able to shame the Met into responding the same way.

"The vast majority of cyclists are decent, honest, hardworking people"
This is a very odd statement is it not?

Nobody feels sorry for dolescum, especially after them and immigrants get blamed for everything.

It's the Protestant Work Ethic as embodied in a police state, innit. Get used to it.

"The vast majority of cyclists are decent, honest, hardworking people"
Perhaps this is what the police have been assessing while hanging around junctions of late. "Looks like a slacker to me Sarge"

Depends on gear inch ratio, no?
Saw another rlj'er, down old kent road earlier. Wouldn't have cared but the pedestrian who nearly went flying looked like she was going to poop her pampers.

I'd question the "vast majority" as if that needed explaining? Somewhat assumes the position that the vast majority are not is the default.

People only ride bikes because they can't afford cars, obvs.

He's evidently implying there's a minority of indecent, duplicitous, workshy cyclists, by which I can only conclude he's been talking to my other half

On my way home last night, traveling clockwise around Regent's Park, some guy on a trek passes me way too closely on the southwest corner. There was no need to do so as there weren't any cars around and the road was clear. So I call him out on this, and he has the audacity to say that I'm the one who shouldn't be cycling. Then he buzzes pass another cyclist way too closely as well. Dickhead.

Perfecting the pre-being-overtaken wobble can be useful in such situations.

Side note. What is going on with his back here.
The amount of times I leave a little space and some fucktard comes and fills it from the left or just pelting past - so fucking annoying
