Yep hydraulic caliper brakes.
Quite why...I have no idea.

Same reasons people use hydraulic disc brakes over mechanic ones.

paraphrasing tester, hydro rim brakes are like having a 700c sized rotor... who wouldn't want that?
also, I think I would quite enjoy riding with those hydro levers. My hands tend to wrap around the top of my hoods anyway, so it'd probably be quite comfortable for me.

Everyone with 7ooc rim brakes already has a 700c sized rotor.
I'd imagine hydro rim brakes up the modulation a tad whilst granting you curiously ergonomic but utterly fugly shifters and the maintenance lols that come with hydraulic stuff (i.e. no maintenance at all or random and complete failure due to some gotcha you were unaware of) and retaining the problems associated with using your rim as a braking surface...weight, heat build up, wear.
Doesn't seem worth it to me - I've never thought ohhh I could use more mechanical advantage and modulation on this caliper brake. Hyrdo disc or GTFO :)

That Rourke is rad, I've just won an 853 on eBay, might have to get a wild paint job.

That Rourke is slave to the core. Any more details on the build on the interwebz?
