I think that it is likely that you will go under 30. The course has gentle undulations so by the end you may consider a little change on the uphill, you're carrying the gears with you after all.
You'll get some idea of how you are going based on who you go by and who goes by you. but otherwise your watch will have to do.
I would tell them that you have just a watch so that they shout you after 11 laps, they try to do so anyway but will keep more of an eye out for you if you ask them to.
The whole thing is very friendly and very "non-competitive" in lots of ways, so just enjoy it.
I am gutted to be missing it this week.
Any tips for a first 10? I'm kind of hoping to get under 30, other than that I've no idea.
I'm on a road bike (this one). Will stay in the big ring and just go for it but I have no computer. I'll just have to go by my lap times, measured roughly on my analogue watch.
