If my memory of college is correct it doesn't work very good for all night paper writing either.
For installing a car stereo so that it only works when the lights are on, however, it works perfectly.

I remember there was a famous professor / science dude who was famous for the fact that he used amphetamines to produce this spectacular work. Said it gave him the power to concentrate for 20 hours at a time
