27.2 doesn't guarantee that it's 531 as lots of frame sets use that size but if it's not 27.2 then it's not 531
When I built a frame on Dave Yates' course, I wanted dropouts without mudguard mounts so he gave me a pair with mudguard mounts and told me to saw them off!
