  • Is it me or has the air quality improved suddenly? Like the proverbial breath of fresh air. I felt like I was flying in this morning.

Farringdon Road up until Blackfriars is still a a total clusterfuck due to the works. Maybe I should take another route but Bishopsgate - London Bridge isn't going to be any better. Southwark Bridge perhaps?
    New route-finding time.

  • Teenage girl with mates shouted "Oi, oldschool!" at me on fixed.
    Did lol

  • #wouldrep to teenager.

  • I think I normally miss the most of this on my commute but ventured into clapham after I got back and witnessed this last night. People ride so badly / close and in groups like a shit peloton.

  • Nice response. I get this from drivers now and again, I don't always film my commute but I have reported one very aggressive driver this way. Completely unnecessary behaviour, I just don't understand why they think this is OK.

  • Rider down and shits on fire, yo within the space of 400 feet.

  • I wish all the underground train users that decided to walk/ ride their bikes/ dusty motorbikes today would just stop it and flex their oysters again.

London in the sun is just too busy!

  • I'd rather they are on two wheels than driving single occupancy 4 wheeler vehicles.

  • Yes that crossed my mind too as a swarm of dusty born again (motor) bikers buzzed passed me on their 'Summer Steeds' - was going to ask them where they were when it was 3 degrees and drizzling at the lights - but didn't.

  • Stop moaning, you need a drink.

  • lulz more cyclists is better no matter what! even if they are annoying and ride like shit it's still more people 'supporting' cycling, more awareness for bikes ect ect ect

  • I do agree - it's just a bit unsettling watching them crash into errant pedestrians at speed.

  • Rain is predicted from tomorrow well into next week, roads should be back to normal.

    Good.

  • yep, and undertaking... so much undertaking...

  • Not strictly a commute, I was out on an errand, but going past a queue of traffic in the cycle lane there was a car with a family of four, all the windows down, all singing Sweet Caroline, as I got alongside I joined in with the bub-buh-baaaas. Much fun for all, would bub-buh-baaa again.

  • Quick trip down Kennington Park way for an errand. Thanks to the moped that beeped his horn at the bastard giant HGV that started changing lanes without indicating or looking, and potentially pancaking me.

  • who says? beware the weather forecaster!

I'm away next week, so if it pisses it down then, I'm all for it..

  • My commute these days is a quiet ride from Lewisham to Forest Hill, which compared to when I worked more central is almost idyllic. Last night I detoured to Decathlon and rode home via Evelyn Street around 6ish had to deal with some of the most dangerous and idiotic cycling I have encountered in some time, the horrendous road surface does not help things either.

  • Small part of the bike path closed for the next 10 weeks, diversion through a small residential area.

So many cyclists, so little space, so many annoyed drivers. Saw some terrible cycling and driving today. Might just risk it on the Fishponds Road every day at this rate.

  • Did you do a skid?

  • I just don't understand why they think this is OK.

Because it is, and there's nothing much we can do about it (like text driving).

  • Gigantic coach waiting to enter Waterloo roundabout. Of course the driver's on the phone. Unfortunately was going too fast to get numberplate.
