It's A Bad Thing.
I agree with Hippy, so many new/compromised PMs coming to market that people are getting overexcited over when there's reliable options out there that are known to work. A PM isn't somewhere to try and save a few quid if you get shit data.

There's Bad Things, and then there's Things That Save You Six Hundred Quid And Only Do A Point Five Percent Less Good Job though. I'm tempted to take a punt at 170 quid to be honest; I'm sure if I don't get on with it I can recoup most of that by selling it.

I saved Six Hundred Quid by buying an ex team reliable option that is known to work :)

that's not true, you can have 2 data fields on the map page on the 800..
-
• #4481
Heh, well if you could point me to where I might get a deal like that, I'm all ears.

That Limits meter seems really flawed. Spacing out pedals by 30 mm.

You're about 24hrs too late getting to that party Ed.
I posted the instructions yesterday and configured mine last night.

That's the beauty of freedom of choice..
You're free to get it wrong.
-
• #4485
Ha, my spare parts bin will attest to that.
Is the spacing as much as 30mm? Looked more like 10 to me.

Nice, but pricey.

Christ. Yeah, I'm more of the Stages downwards sort of budget.

SRMS and Quarqs can be had for more sensible prices on eBay.
-
• #4490
Think I'd be looking at Infocrank for that sort of money.
-
• #4491
I think we won't see any until 2017..

Hey, it does come with a free cadence sensor! I didn't know SRM provided cadence before I set it up.
-
• #4493
It comes with a magnet that triggers the inbuilt cadence sensor. Without it the SRM won't even turn on :)
-
• #4494
Also. Without cadence its a torque Meter.

£100 and I'd be tempted, sure.
Up at £180 (with P&P) it's getting close to second hand PowerTap territory, and I know what I'd rather have.

Any interest in my Rotor 3D+ 175mm cranked, 110BCD SRM? Serviced earlier this year, new firmware, battery etc etc, and I have a black PC7 to go with it, alloy handlebar mount etc.
?

They provide a dummy one for the RHS to make it symmetric so you're talking at least 20mm, more like 25mm.
Of course, you don't have to fit the drive side one.
All can be alleviated if you find some pedals which have shorter spindles or are able to mount your cleats ~10mm further out to compensate.
Yes.
Also, powermeter that isn't available yet versus meters that have been out to market for 10+ years. I'll let you guess which side I'm on.
