Storage solutions sought: Was thinking about putting bookshelves at a high level (above the tops of the doors) to make a continuous line the full length, and both sides of, a 7m ish corridor. Floating shelves would be ideal.
But given that I've run some form of problem almost everytime I've drilled into something in this flat I reckon the chances of being able to securely mount the brackets for floating shelves exactly where I need them the whole length of the corridor are practically nil. Plus the inernal walls are pretty thin single skin cinder block. I'm wondering about an alternative.
Now considering keeping books on exiting units elsewhere and installing high level bespoke cupboards for other storage. Anyone hired a chippy to do this sort of thing? Done it yourself? Tips?
