It can use the same out-front mount as an Edge, but when mounted it will sit 90deg rotated. So you'll either need to mount it on your wrist, use an official garmin mount on your base bars (and rotate the mount), use a Barfly mount (as @ewanmac says), or bodge an aerobar mount like I've done.
Re: data recording - No idea. It's for slvlss, so assume it can at least handle a whole Ironman event (avg 12+hrs).
