Anything on the 510 I'd want over the 500?
500 can still do GPS tracks, yeah? So I could use it as a backup GPS for audaxes?

For short TTs, no. The 510 might allow longer routes (more waypoints) plus more memory space for tracklogs and a longer battery life, so that could be a thing if you're using it for Audax.

Touch screen and wireless data I think were only upgrades. You can load routes and courses to follow yes.

Edge 500 does ANT+ you can get them for £130 and if it ever dies Garmin will replace for £70 or so
