I don't think I'll be putting a £400+ air chuck on my £30 track pump
Who's talking about £400? Even the Hirame is under £100 including delivery, the knock-offs and KCNC are more like £30. I've got a Hirame, and it was indeed more expensive than the rest of my SKS Rennkompressor but it changed it from a £50 paperweight into a useful tool as far as disc and H3 inflation duties are concerned.

My new ride, built on a french custom frame
-
• #101107
I just googled it and the first link I got was Amazon at £426, maybe that's just a seller trying his luck but it was considerably more than I was hoping to pay so I didn't bother looking any further.

My £25 Topeak fits my Hed 3
The Hed is much less of a problem than some discs anyway. The SKS EVA or similar heads should work in the big valve pocket on a H3, but multi-valve heads with the Schrader hole in front of the Presta hole probably wont.

Amazon does throw up some odd results, doesn't it? If you want a genuine Hirame, Alex Cycles has them at £37 but shipping from Japan tends to be expensive and you'll get hit for import taxes.

Cinelli criterium or Nitto 125, personal favorite

I love those stays. Whole frame seems very nicely done, clean brazing and general attention to detail :)
It's a bit long for you, judging by stem length?
#internetbikefit :p -
• #101112
Actually this stem is a bit short but the bloody frame has only old french standards (bb, headset) and a 22mm steerer... This was the only spare stem I had and these can be tricky to find :/
-
• #101113
Darn you French standards ...
Hm e-bay.fr perhaps, they usually ship. VO also does some French threaded parts.

Sandpaper opens up many stem options.
-
• #101115
Sure... But that means I'm risking to get it stucked in.
For now I'm keeping the more reasonable option :) -

Finally got this up for some Summer fun...
-
• #101117
Don't get the issue.
Take off the required amount of alu (.2mm in diameter) and stem will fit the same as any other French specific one of that era. Grease with whatever tester says. -

Just need to finish the wooden board and done.
