Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

I find that if the jersey fits then they are great. However, the sizing makes me laugh - small for a 'club' sportswool Jersey and large for ProTeam.

Wut? How? I am small in both .. the sizing guide is the same just a different cut

I have Rapha items in S, M and XL. (I also used to have a jacket in L.)

Picked up the pro team bibs and winter jersey at the outlet store on Friday. Couldn't be more impressed with either after 3 hours this morning around chilly Cornwall

what are the lightweight bibs like any good? Are they see-through?

Looks weird but I am blown away by how well it performs and the comfort levels.

I've also just taken delivery of the aero jersey. Ridiculous price but if it performs as well as it fits and looks I'll be very happy. I'm a large in my other rapha jerseys (except the winter - medium) and the large in the aero jersey is still bang on

Quite often it's the best way to ensure you just get on with it and get what you want.

got one and really like it. used it till now only under an odlo long sleeve baselayer for really cold days, but i think it will do a really nice job in summer

As mentioned above: check Wiggle. Good prices for well-reviewed base layers there. Have a Craft one but still like the Rapha Pro Team the best.

Shopping around for a new commuting bag. I've heard that the Rapha Backpack is a POS and the zippers will break (my mate claims to have gone through three zippers which all failed the same way). Any other feedback? I like the design... :(

Plenty of great rucksack out there that are better, like the Goruck GR1

I'm thinking I'll probably just splurge on the Mission Workshop Rambler, and then I can do my shopping on the bike too. I still think the Rapha looks really neat as a daily commuter though.
