By softer peaks, I assume they still hold their shape and still go up/down and stay in place?
Our current kit must contain card in the visor, one soaking and it crumples up and stops working, just flaps around! Same goes for other stuff I've had from Cinelli, LMNH etc.

That sounds rubbish. Not had any that bad, but have had a couple of plastic ones snap which is no good :(
Yep there's a bit of flex to them, they sometimes get a tiny bit of a ripple across the peak but they fold up/down fine and stay where you put them. I think I remember Walz saying the flex stopped them from snapping, or from digging in to your heard when pointed up.
You can kinda bend them around bulky helments if you like to wear your peak up a lot.

If you're talking about the blue ones, the dye nearly completely goes on the first drop of rain too. Really shoddy produce.

Walz are fucking great. I used them last year for our club, and they are hands down the best quality caps I've ever seen.
They do use a softer peak, but I've found it way more comfortable than the more rigid kind. They also offer sizes which is good for those of us with a touch of the Merrick.
