True! But they're of a complex carbohydrate nature, so they don't inflame my gut.
Fruit is generally not allowed on the diet, though I've been allowing myself a banana with yoghurt before longer rides (sugar, but not processed sugar of course), as I'd probably be screwed without it. Used to make my own Kefir when I first started with these issues - that shit is incredible!
Nuts are around 50% carbs so you're already cheating ;-)
If you're just avoiding fast sugars then how about oats? or beans? or fruit alongside kefir/yoghurt/somethingwithsomeprotein?
