  • @roadwarrior It's a compact spider, the rings are semi compact. What do the middleburns look like?

  • not a great picture, but there grey ano, pretty light - are you running 10 speed?

  • Praxis

Only acceptable answer. Other than chainrings... looking sweet. Get rid of the size sticker, de-logo the cages and line the tyre logos up with the valves... Perfect.

  • New SRAM rings look pretty sweet with SISLs...but if you've got Shimano...

  • If anyone is looking to join the club, i'm considering letting my 2012 Supersix in size 52cm go, in the hunt for a size 50cm. (Also looking for pure trade)

  • Lovely build, good luck finding a trade you want!

Is the stem and seatpost 3t but with the logos scrubbed off?

    Forgot to hit reply... @Captain_P

  • Thank you!
Yes, it's 3T Arx Team acetone'd and 3T Dorico Team Stelth.

  • Does anyone have the tools to remove and re-install SISL2 Hollowgram Cranks that I could borrow for a couple of days please? I've picked up a new Supersix, brought a spider ring and now been told it'll be 2 weeks for the bike shop to get the tools in! I'm based in SE London and work in Euston. Cheers.

  • I have them, as does Dammit I suspect. I'm in West - you could bring the bike over to mine and have it done in an hour or so FAMOUS LAST WORDS etc.

  • Any reason why a 34-50 spider ring wouldn't fit on a new Hollowgram Si?

  • Spider interface is the same on all SI cranks as far as I know.

So, no, there is no reason why it will not fit.

    FAMOUS LAST WORDS.

  • Thanks, just exploring another option (to avoid schlepping my frame all over town) but may take you up on it Howard!

  • @Dammit is also in SE London, might be worth pinging him.

  • correct

Given I have pretty much every variation of SI crank and SI spider including the SpiderRing kicking around at home you'd hope so.

Someone sell me some magic motorcycle cranks and the collection will be near complete.

  • @Howard Thanks, though I didn't win the auction, so I am stuck with the FSA rings for now...

  • I do indeed have the tool, and you would be welcome to pop over and borrow it when I get back from Bespoked.

  • I machined myself one of those adaptors so you can use a normal park BB tool to extract the SiSL2 crank.

Works alright but a bit of a faff if you want to take both cranks off the axel.

  • ... tampon applicator?

  • Price and size? Potential dibs pending pics.

  • ooh! can i join the club? can i? dale is far from finished, but i've made one of those hollowgram/tampon tools.. that's got to count for something..

  • OK, I'm going to sound like a stuck record, but the actual cannondale tool for removing the crank arms is pretty inexpenisve and widely available. Why the home DIY jobs that risk messing up £300 state of the art crank arms?

Other than 'I had to remove it NOW and all I had was the rod and a lathe'.

  • if machined correctly, it's a real snug fit. if the hollowgram bolt is threaded in to the correct torque, it covers almost all the thread, so it won't do any damage. £22 vs £0.47 (200HUF) and this (HUF) brings us to the other issue: i live in hungary. postage is expensive if available. and slow. and there's a chance the postman likes tools..

  • As above really, couldn't get a KT013 and I had 16mm bar and a lathe....

No kittens were killed in the removal of my cranks

  • Until I find some spider rings or praxis at a decent price, switched to FSA K force rings with the red bits acetoned off. The white part doesn't want to come off, so it's staying for the moment. Looks a bit better than before:
