After much um-ing and ah-ing and one nearly attempt, I decided to finally sell my Lovely 60's Viking Road Track, as I need the (probably a huge amount of) funds to build up a late 40's Raleigh Record Ace RRA I got cheap. I build this up about 4 years ago and have loved it since, but it is time to let it go to a new Home.
A few scratches to lacquer but noting series. One of the mudguard eyes has a broken of screw stuck in it but I'm sure it could be got out with some patience (i can try if you like ) or failing that carefully drilled out.
I looking for £450 pounds minus the saddle and chain. (I have a black non period brooks you can have for an additional £15 pounds if you like)
Spec.
Early 60's Viking Road Track Frame (probably World Series opt Twenty -Five model.) Beautiful Nervex lugs and Round Section Track Forks. Reynolds 531 butted throughout. 22.1/2 inches c-t-c seat tube x 22 1/2 inch c-t-c top tube. (57x57 approx.) Clear lacquered an re-threaded by armourtex, with new reproduction decals.
TA Pista Bottom bracket axle and cups with TA 170mm Cyclotourist crankset and chain ring (48 tooth). The cranks aren't exactly a set, but they look the same and you cannot tell. All circa 60's.
Miche Pista Pedals with cristophe toeclips. I will provide straps, (not the ones in the photo). (Alternately I have some condor double clips and straps you can have instead)
Campagnolo Record seat post. Two Bolt version.
Period GB Hindunimiun alloy 3 inch (8cm) stem on 50's/60's steel bars. These could do with a small shim (coke can) but I have been riding them fine as is for a good while.
Front only 60's Mafac 'Racer' centre pull brake with 60's Mafac lever. with cable guide.
Modern Tange threaded 1 inch headset.
Front Wheel - Weinmann Alesa 27x 1 1/4 rim on 60's Exceltoo high flange hub. Panaracer Palesa PT tyres.
Rear Wheel - Super Champion blue label 36 hole clincher rim 27x 1 1/4 on Airlite high flange 36 hole single fixed hub. Has lovely red painted inner drillings. Comes with 17 (or 16) tooth cog.-your choice. Panaracer Palesa PT tyre.
A lovely period road/track bike, I shall be sad too see it go. Taken me on several longish tours. Grab yourself a beautiful bit of vintage british steel.
If you want to come see or pick it up at the weekend I'm based in hackney-just pm me. Any questions, please ask.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
