Weight is a non-issue. Well, bike weight is a non-issue, my weight is a whole meme...
It's just my commuter, winter training bike, possible PBP audax-type bike. I just like the whole black wheel thing. I could go to 105 which are black but prefer Ultegra given the hubs are stuck in the wheels and not easily disposable like the rest of my components.

I like everything about Ultegra hubs except the weight. They are fat bastards.
To build something as reliable as a Ultegra hub but lighter is pricey. Hence the DA price. You could save the few 100g cheaper by eating less pie. But then you'd be eating less pie.
