is that your Crystal? If so, does it has seatstays that have a smaller diameter near the seatstaylug too? I measured those of my '98 Master Extra Light and it doesn't have seatstays with variable diameter. Maybe that is an important difference between this Elegant and the other frames with the "new" seatstaylug.

could be!they both are very similar
in the 90's the brand tried to make to most of it's popularity by putting out a large body of different steel frames
