• Cash on collection London SW17. £350/ PRICE DROP £300

Reluctant to sell but It's been sitting on my wall for over a year and there is no way I'm going to be able to afford to build it up so it has to go. It's 2014 so Reynolds 725 instead of the cheaper own brand tubeset used in the current models.

Includes lightly used Cane Creek 110 Headset and Genesis Seatpost. The Fork is a Surly long haul trucker because I hated the original Unicrown one that comes with the frame, the A-C length is practically the same so will handle fine. Powdercoated Green at Armourtex. Comes with some Genesis stickers you can put on and all the frame cable stops etc.

These frames retailed at £475, the paint is another £70 and the headsets new are £120, so in my opinion it's a bargain.

This will look fucking awesome built up, I'll guarantee you that.

Geometry is slightly different to the new one but from what I remember its about a 538 effective top tube length.

  • Stack and reach is all that matter.

  • ^ yep, just had a bike fit last night which confirmed it was too long for me anyway, should've gone for the 50cm!

  • Zero response so far so maybe it's priced a little high? Now £300

  • Hi,

Is the rear bridge drilled for a brake of just mudguard?

    Red

  • it's just for a mudguard, it's designed to take disc brakes

  • Yeah, I've got one, but I didn't know with your front fork change...love my Cdf but I've only got kit to build something not running discs...pondering..;)

  • Does that mean your Surly is also too long for you?

  • It's not mine anymore, I sold it

I cycled it a few thousand miles and didn't die despite it being a little long in the top tube, so no harm

  • But I have come to to the unfortunate conclusion I can't buy another surly

  • According to my retul the other day, the 49cm steamroller is fine in the top tube length but the headtube is about 4cm shorter than i need it to be

  • Your saddle also need to be set a lots further back too, doesn't it?

  • nope, forward by a shitload, all my weight was on the nose and my sitbones were not being utilised

  • i'm much more planted on the saddle now

  • Forward? it must've look like a TT position already!

  • I think the slack seat angle on the steamroller throws it off

  • punted to ctc, closing
