Got my race accreditation tonight! When's the next kilo event at track league?
-
• #80
What's the distance for the pursuit tomorrow? Can we use a TT bar setup? I assume you can only have one crack at this per season though?
Edit: same question for team pursuit, and can we have inter-club teams?
-

It's 2.7km, which is 6 laps. Yes, extensions are fine. They'll do 4 people at a time, and yes, it's only one per season. If you fancy giving it a go again, though, you can always turn up to the Sunday sessions?
-
• #83
cool, thanks! Weather looks good but yeah, I should do a Sunday session first.
@youramericanlover fancy a Sunday session ? I'll look at my diary and see if I can pick a couple of possibile dates. -
• #84
No probs! Doing a practice run would be good so you can get an idea of the pacing. Just remember Chris Boardman's advice 'Can I sustain this?' No = too fast. Yes = too slow. Maybe = just right.

Dang, wish I hadn't gone so hard on my commute now! Is there going to be a kilo (900m TT) this season? Sprinters league?
-
• #86
Special events for track league are here (no kilo planned): http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/racing_events/track_racing/track_league/
Sprint league includes a team sprint or kilo "if there is time": http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/racing_events/track_racing/sprint_league/

Cool, they've updated the page! Maybe one of the open events will have one..

Lovely evening for it. I still have plenty to learn and lots of fitness to gain though!
I also ended up with some sunglasses that aren't mine. I think they're a teammates but if you lost some tonight let me know along with a description. -

That TT was weird - but fun! 2.7km is a strange distance to pick. Almost died of a coughing fit after but pretty happy with my time!!! Great evening :+)

Good to see @youramericanlover last night, congrats on your 3rd! And nice to meet you @Morph!
I need to stop letting the near misses happening up ahead take the wind out of my sail, and it's a long way to come round from the back. -

For those doing the sprinters league, can we arrange when we're going to (possibly) do a kilo? I don't want to have to be bringing pursuit bars every single time in the faint glimmer of hope

Anyone heading down tonight?
I have my registration form and I've paid to be a friend - is that all I need to register?
-
• #94
I'm heading down tonight. Your racing licence and if you're racing C then arrive by at least 6:45 so you have time to register and get your number pinned so you don't miss the first race. If you're racing A/B well then you have more time and bully for you :)

If he's riding the Cs I'd be seeking a steward's inquiry.
-
• #96
^ what they said.
I'm coming down and not going to ride the 18 miles in, either. #mixedblessings

• #97
Ha ok fair enough, I'll keep a look out.
-
• #98
Meh-dison tonight
-
• #99
I always start in C's then get bullied into B's and don't score any points for the rest of the league.
What's the alternative if you don't dance madison?

Now that it's the end of the day I realise I'm too tired to race safely. Have fun out there.
I think they're on the FHHV facebook
