  • It's actually from Hitchhiker's.

  • And its right in Base 13.
(interview with Douglas Adams revealed it purely coincidental)

  • Wut? There's no maths in that, just the woman with 3 boobs and JonnyCab.

  • base 10: (9 * 1) + (6 * 1) = 52
    base 13: (4 * 13) + (2 * 1) = 52

    hhahahahaha didn't knew this

  • after an astronaut on back of lower arm, have fancied the one off the old Orb cover for some time - artist said dot work would be a no no, wouldn't translate, couldn't do the kinda blown up graphic pixels as there would be too much black......

she suggested she could put some dot in this - how do I get her to try and amalgamate the two. i.e same design but standing like the Orb cover? just ask her? 'amalgamate the two'?!

  • (this does not answer your question, I just like the astronaut)

  • ^ that is ace it has to be said!

  • ..it's one of these huge murals that emerged from that "streetart" craze in berlin, 5-6 years ago.
Yea it's pretty bold, you see it from the subway (which is going above ground in that area) a bit more at "eye level", pretty nice.

  • Kreuzberg no?

  • Is the bottom image her own? I'm much more into the idea of finding a tattooer I like and asking them to design something, pretty sure it'll always be a better tattoo in the end. There must be so many artists who could do a killer astronaut design in black.

  • Kreuzberg no?

    Yes, close to "Görlitzer Bahnhof".

  • Think he'll be next for me...

  • Matt Hunt's works is amazing.

  • Got my first tattoo by Kirk Jones while he was in London...

  • It looks pretty cool... Did it hurt? My next one is gonna be on a similar area, just wanted to get my mentally ready...

  • So I made initial contact with Matt Hunt's studio and I got rapid response from someone who says he was away and will reply to me when he gets back... fair enough... then I got another response from someone else asking me what and where I would like to get tattooed and told me that Matt might be coming back to London in the summer... still fair enough.

I then replied to give a clear enough idea of what and where and told that guy the message I would like to send through this new tattoo I have in mind is rather personal so I wanted to speak to Matt directly after we have confirmed an appointment etc... I also asked what are the chances of him coming back to London in the summer... within moments, I got a response from "Matt", but it's basically the entire page of the Q and A on their website, plus more boring crap, but my questions weren't actually answered...

Is this normal for a studio to communicate to a ready to commit client with such stupid general info, rather than passing the communication to the artist directly?

  • the boss

  • The square stretched lobe offends me more than the terrible tattoos..

  • That shifty wall colour is the most worrying thing about that picture.

  • I wish people would refrain from posting shit like this.

  • It just makes the good stuff look better.

  • Fair enough, but imagine people posting totally awesome stuff instead,
then you'd be like "whoa, that already was great, now this is even better!"
    etc.

  • Which just reminded me I haven't had a look what Shige has been doing the last months...
