Wait - I have a new MBP not the new thing MB

So I have a new MBP retina display but this is much nicer/lighter than the old MBP I had

Thought I'd pop into an Apple store and buy the new retina Macbook - they don't have any in stock.

You can buy them online but delivery will take 4-6 weeks. Unsure why I'd give Apple a grand and let them sit on it for a month or so.

Meanwhile Google have finally announced that the Pixel 2 (announced start of March, IIRC) will be available to buy on the 21st April, although apparently that will be in store at Dixons as well as online so that's something. I guess if they'll physically be in Dixons delivery won't take a month. Given this though I guess I'll have a play on both before I decide.

Is this normal for tech launches these days? 'Launch' it then you can get your hands on it two months later?

@Tenderloin is your new MBP 13" or 15"?

I.e. does it have the new trackpad?

What specs are you looking at? My replacement has only taken a week and it's a custom specs...

10.10.3 feels zippier on my 2011 non-retina MBP. Apple are putting out good updates lately, especially the most recent iOS which has revived the iPad 2 greatly.

How are you finding the new tactical touchpad with hepatitis feedback then?

I've just installed mavericks on my oldish (7yrs) macbook - whats the deal with iphoto? it says its not compatible and i need to download a new one, but the new one is not available in my country?

If I get an Apple TV box to watch cycling on the Eurosport player/app will it work?

Tried to use the PS3 but Eurosports use of Silverlight scuppered that.

It will if you stream it from your laptop...I guess it would work if you had an account and the channel showed up on the Apple TV menu...

I might pop into the Apple store and ask, I could stream it from my laptop but would prefer it to run on the box so it's not restricted to me being there.

Oi, that's denigrating teasmaids. Any invention which gives the working man more time in bed is progress and something like the Goblin D25b was as, if not more beautiful than Apple ever managed.

I love how they haven't designed somewhere for the phone to fit in so you can see the demonstrator visibly struggle to plug the phone in to charge in the video...
