How come the Boxster doesn't have pop up headlamp washers, the 996 of the same era does. I guess that's one way to save money.

The little round chrome popups came with the facelifted headlights on the 3.6 996. The Boxster never got the facelift.

Interesting, why didn't the Boxster get a facelift? Not that I expect you to answer ever Porsche related question, it just seems like you might know.

Porsche got shit for the Boxster and 911 looking too alike from the front, so they only changed the 911. It wasn't a cost thing as you can unbolt the facelifted 911 headlights and bumper and bolt them on to a Boxster.
