  • Ooh, classy!

  • Interesting spokes on the rear wheel (the colours). What bars are those? Tight bike!

  • i got a new super long stem and the bike still feels a bit short, wtf. I also added some spare non matching wheel

    (bartape is for nankids)

  • Dimensions?

  • 53 ctc square

  • Maybe it should be a 57 with deep drops.

Turn it into a TT rig?

  • Very nice. You can send to me when you are finished with her

  • Almost done, still some fucking about to do with the rear fender, in terms of the rack mounting and not being level, I'm going to get woodrup to rivnut some bottle cage mounts in, think I will also ask them to braze a second pair of eyelets on the fork (not so fussed about the paint on the fork ends) drill the rear chain stay bridge and fettle the rear guard.... I've sorted the rear hub out as well. Overall though I think it's looking decent and looking forward to getting lots of use out of it in the future.

    What ya think? @ncjlee

  • I've had a shed full of parts for my new Straggler for a few weeks now waiting to be built up. Spare time has been somewhat lacking since I've only recently become a father, so it remained just a pile of parts. I finally had a few hours to get it done last night, pretty happy with the result:

Its a mix of new, NOS, and existing spare parts I already had. The plan is to put a front low rider + panniers on it to free up space for a child seat. The Carradice will do for practical purposes and commuting until my daughter is old enough to go in the seat for the moment. I still need to ditch the stickers on the rims and the warning stickers on the frame, when the wife is back with her hair drier! I also need to fully trim the steerer once the position is sorted.
The front PDW guard is right at the limit of its extension, hence the poor fit. I don't want to cut the stays to fit it on the mid fork eyelets as it will sort itself out when the low rider rack is fitted.

  • Gluing tubs, the very definition of a rock and roll Friday night:

  • do it right, and you could get high at least..

  • respray the rear rim

    How did you do this?

  • I've never ever seen that bike/frame in a large size... Tall people don't like it or what ?

  • Thank'sssee

@HHC ------It is true that it as a dose of elegance in his raty hurban style, and I thank you too.

Bladed rear sapim CXray that was lying in my stock thats what explains the coulours and normal 2 1,8 2 front spokes

Tight bike but the overlap is correct.

  • apologies for the crap phone pic. But the GT lives! The front wheel is borrowed from my rental bike because I gave up wrestling with the conti tyre on the new front wheel. Seatpost and saddle also parts bin and temporary. Will get some replacement speedplays when compo money comes in. Spds for now. Taking it out for a test now. Well chuffed.

  • Montana...

    I see...
I asked because I have a campag wheelset that previous owner braked on (so have I, a little), but surface is still very good and I'd like to get them back to a virgin bracking surface state... While keeping the stickers and the wheels built at the same time. They 're Omega Strada thingy

  • ^Omega is a bit gray and DP18 CSB is dark black brown so yo may find the right color...

    ^^ shed biek indeed... thank's
