Would like some help improving my first fixed build...

so basically i have built up my first bike on an aventon cordoba frame all specs listed here

would like some help improving it look wise especially in terms of my rear wheel as i no longer need the braking surface

I would probably suggest you should buy a new rear wheel.

velocity deep v rims , in all black, Gran Compe Dia Compe black hubs
omnium black cranks

loose the spacers and get a 0 degree stem to give you a similar position.

You wouldn't happen to have a place that I could buy one of those rear wheels all built up

black cinelli pepper riser bars could look good in combination with the stem suggested by @JT

surely i would have to cut the fork and then risk it not being compatible if i bought a new different sized frame

any anything a bit cheaper than that saddle is a bit out of my price range, want to focus on buying that rear wheel first

unless you are able to build a wheel yourself it is best to buy already built one as you have suggested earlier. as completely black rear wheels are expensive i would suggest you choose to buy a silver rear wheel like this one. and maybe later on buy front silver one.

IMHO it is nicer to have a matching wheelset, nothing wrong with the one you already have on. Modern looking saddle (try E-bay for used SLR or similiar), 0 degree stem (you could put spacers on top if you are worried about the fork steerer) and compact bars would be in place for street use!

would make a really nice pair of wheels for £110 plus build costs

arup will build them up for £50
and they'll be a truly class set of wheels for a lot of miles

might get a 40mm black rear with a black miche hub then a front white 30mm machined rim with a silver hub? or maybe a silver rim on the front?

what about both black but deep rear rim and shallow front?

could you just paint the current one black? if theres nothing wrong with it?

omnoms, cut steerer, paint wheel black, dif stem as above ^ and take the blb logos off and it would look pretty good

If it's all black anyway just get some black paint from halfords, matte usually looks best, take the tyre off and spray it! Easy. Mask any bits you don't want done with masking tape.

Sharpie and black electrical tape are good temp solutions, both look pretty good. A lot of people use the elec tape trick on spoks
