Weirdly the 27.2 seatpost that was in now doesn't want to go back in. I'm thinking I might have forced it into a 27.0mm hole which is why it was a bitch to get out.

Sticker says Reynolds 531? If so it should be 27.2. Maybe you should ask a qualified lbs or framebuilder to ream the seat tube. If you end up using too small diameter seat post it will move inside the tube and potentially cause cracks...

Not sure about reaming. I've been finding the old HQ frames have a mix 27.0 and 27.2 seatpost. I've 2 27.2 and neither are fitting so want to see what it looks like with a size down.
The old one that came out was 27.2 but it was a bitch to get out and stuck in

It is a Q number. So it's after they got the brand back and it's a proper HQ one.
Definitely a great bike

Yeah, I heard someone (an American?) bought it him out and fucked it before Harry bought it back in disgust. Really pleased with the fact its matching frame and forks, gives it a nice touch.

No idea who was fucking up the brand, but yeah, that's the story

First actual ride on it today. Strange after getting onto it after riding a different bike for a couple of months. Great chain line, super smooth and hardly any noise at all.
It's good to be back on it, just need a little tweak on seatpost positioning.
Apologies for shit camera phone quality picture

So I decided to show my old Harry Quinn frame some love. I bought it from the forum about 3 to 4 years ago as a beater but as I've done so many miles thought it deserves some tlc . This includes a new headset (campag record), bottom bracket and crankset (upgraded from Andels to Sugino 75s) and a respray as well as new pedals and chain.
