  • Both the Flo30 and the HED roll and corner in a very similar manner, but the Flo definitely has an aerodynamic (or, I admit, convincing placebo) effect once you start shifting that the HED does not.

    Any magic Fl0 have managed with a 30mm rim is surely totally ballsed up with a bulging 25mm tyre. They're likely to be less aero than a wide rim with parallel brake tracks no?

  • Not necessarily, no. It'll increase the front area, but provided that the CdA figure drops by a sufficient amount the overall drag will be reduced. Whether it does or not is another question, but an extra 2mm of width could easily be compensated for if the drag coefficient is significantly lower.

    But that wont happen. They're designed, modelled and tested with 23mm tyres.

    ^ this is the profile of the flo30. It's designed for a smooth transition between the non-parallel brake tracks using a 23mm tyre.
