How much difference would I notice going from a fork with a-c of 397mm to 405mm? The kinesis fork has the longer a-c but is lighter.

Least of your concern when you tend to ride with a rack and panniers.

Short answer, if you can feel the pea under your bed, you'll notice.

You might not notice it at all, it's less than 30' off your head angle.
