Hi, I have:
- 175mm Tiagra chainset with 39t ring
- Matching External BB (needs replacing at some point)
- 35c Ritchey CX tyres
- Cheap BBB saddle
- Cheap BLB seatpost
You can have all for £40 posted.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm bidding on a crankset on ebay so will have to see how they do first. Might sounds like stupid question, but would your BB fit in my frame? Are they fairly universal? I come from a BMX/MTB back ground so these old road bikes are a bit foreign to me.
Do the tyres have a heavy tread pattern on them, like most cx tyres? Ideally looking for more of a road pattern if so.
Seat and post sound ideal though, any chance of a picture and price?

Forgot to mention, also need pedals preferably with toe straps.

Hi, if your bottom bracket is normal English threading then yes it would fit, but just thinking that on a fixie you might be better with shorter cranks because you can get pedal strike going around corners. Probably best to leave the tyres too as they're quite nobbly.
You can have the post and saddle for £20 posted.
The post is like this one, but a bit shorter. In good condition. It's 27.2mm so you need to check your frame size. -

Hey Durden, I'll just leave this here....

Thanks Cuddles (great name by the way).
Last time I looked at the steerer tube I pretty sure it measure 25mm but I will check next time I'm in the garage. So that may be a no go but thanks for the offers.
So is it £50 you want for the pedals? Or was that with the seat and post as well?

Thanks for the link Beef, you have some nice bits there.

Ive got a bucket full of seat posts in various sizes.. From 22.2 up to 29.5 i think, most are 26.8 27.0 or 27.2. Most are free, some are a fiver.
And some free saddles.NW3 (gospel oak) for collection. Ive got tons of other stuff as well if you want to have a look through the shed..

I meant to say Seat tube not steerer tube in my reply to cuddles earlier.
Thanks Mr Grumby, have you got a 25mm seat post?

I might do, i can check in a bit. 25.4 seems more likely, ive got some digital calipers if you bring the frame to check the size with?

I now also need a new wheelset after discovery a lot of rot/rust on my old rims. Need to be 27'' and have a fixed hub.

Cheers, yeah £50 was for post, saddle and pedals but looks like your bike has a 25mm post.
-
• #18
Yeah it's 25.4mm so yours is no good unfortunately. Also have pedals sorted now.

Got the 27" wheelset but they are tubulars. Interested? They are in the Classifieds section (search for Normandy), they've got tubs on them, but I suggest replacing them (Conti Giro would look great) and has flip flop hubs with a fixed sprocket on them

Also got a bottom bracket, but need to verify model etc...will update tonight.

Have a few cheapo bits to offer too- but would first ask if all the above chaps have sorted you out already?
