Love the first and last one, also the first of the lomo xpro 200 post.
    Beautiful..

  • I got up at 4:30am to go shoot the second set so I'm glad some people like them...

They're all on a pentax slr with mostly a cheap 19-35mm zoom and a Jupiter 9 85mm (which I just recently picked up for 1/2 what they normally go for)

  • Jupiter 9 85mm

..have never heard of these until now.
Just had a look - ha, the lens itself looks pretty "mean", images render very beautifully, it seems!

Also: yes, getting up early definately helps for good pictures. The light is different, and the fact that everything is less busy at the early hours helps me a lot to get into a 'mode' where I can really focus (no pun intended).

  • go see the scarcity exhibition at Somerset house while you're in london, its incredible!

  • Oh that's not fair. I lived about 5 minutes from that bridge (near Chum Apartments in Meguro, if it's still there). I miss Hanami more than anything else about Japan I think.

    Nice pics.

  • Non digital people: I've just been offered a Leica M6. Is there anything I should look for or are they pretty much bombproof?

  • b&d, if you're familiar with Leicas, then you should have no problems with the operation. Just make sure the lens bayonets on and off solidly. That the rangefinder sight lines change with each different lens. That the back has no looseness, and the light seals are good. No smell of damp (fungus) inside the camera body (from storing in a dark and moist place). No battery corrosion. But if its cheap or free, I wouldn't worry about any of that; I'd rip the person's hand off as I take it. Its a great camera, with some fantastic non-Leica lens options.

  • Fastest 120 film dev and scan in London?

  • what's your flickr, by the way?

  • Monoraaaail!

  • You rocking a medium format now?

  • Not sure about rocking haha, the first two rolls had an alarming high number of blurry/underexposed shots. Chalking that up to forgetting to turn on the AE control or stubbornly trying to use 160 film in low light handheld...
but yeah at the top of the previous page if a pic of one of them (Bronica ETR-C).

Think I'll take a trip down to rapid eye and make use of the student discount there

  • Ah, nice! I missed that on the last page.

  • Rapid Eye probably, if you tell Eddie you're in a rush (and there's not too much on) he can normally sort it out.

  • I've got a Gold Contax T2 for sale, with the original box and papers and everything, if anyone's interested. I'd like £225 for it - they're pretty rare in this colour and it is an outstanding compact camera. More pics on request!
