  • Impressive!
    What's that saddle bag?

Balls! New page! I'm on phone... Van sonnerie repost the picture?

  • Looks like a BlackRainbowPr0ject bag holder, with a drybag inside...

  • radness

  • you need some more ninja panniers though!

  • Lovely bike

  • Why the bottles at the same height and not staggered as per usual?

  • michael has very short arms and wouldn't be able to reach the bottle if it was any lower down the seat tube. true story.

  • Awesome, some wickedly perfect details on the frame. And the paint - is just perfect.

  • If serious, thanks. If not Lolz.

  • why is the front rack not level?

  • Aerodynamics

  • Magnets.

  • So it toured on it and it for 4 days and it was great...

then the rear mudguard snapped in half and one of the rack mounts looks to be shearing off

    #godhatesfixies

  • Can you get some pictures of the rack mount? I'd reinforce it as best you can with zip-ties until you return, then we'll get it redone.

Mudguard - that's a bugger, did it snap under the bridge?

Sorry you are having teething problems on your tour, when you get back we'll fix it - cold comfort to you right now I know, and I'm truly sorry it's not plain sailing.

  • @Dammit

I'm back! and it's at the workshop now. Matt will be looking checking the mounts tomorrow.
Very lucky you guys sourced a carbon repair company with good warranty

Yeah mudguard snapped under the bridge so will get some reinforcement there on the next one.

Obviously both not talbot's fault, i'm mainly gutted it may not a get a chance to be shown at bespoked to show off hoops awesome paintwork

  • Ah, ok - well we'll get everything fixed for your next trip.

I've got the same modification on my forks so whatever needs to be done to yours will then get done to mine - which also means you can have mine for now if you need them, although they are plain carbon.

We'll work out a way for it to star at Bespoked, no worries about that.

  • I drilled my mudguard in the same place as yours, and it's held up perfectly for over 3,000 miles - I wonder what the difference is between the two that led to yours failing?

  • Too many whip skids!

  • One of the bolts came undone suddenly on a very bumpy section while touring which probably weakened it, then the sections of cobbles during the london classic finished it off.

  • I loctite/thread lock all mudguard bolts in to stop them vibrating out, that might help.

  • Whoa, thats a bummer!
Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news, but the metallic grey used on your bike was a custom colour i mixed up myself.... I'll never be able to match it perfectly if a re-spray is required.

Perhaps metal mudguards would be better for you?

Something like the VO hammered now they're available in black?

  • Perhaps metal mudguards would be better for you?

    They are metal.

  • Oh.
