    in further reinforcing my good feelings, I've been looking at "peaking" in training peaks and my coach seems to have nailed the taper. Friel talks about a 9% drop in CTL (I'm forecasting 9.2%, TSB going positive 8 days before the race (mine went positive on Monday so 6 days and will be 22 by race day).

  • Ed, would you recommend Training Peaks (free) for someone running and cycling with heart rate but no power Meyer. My 'training' is for running and the cycling is mainly just for fun but this stuff sounds useful when it comes to prepping and winding down for races which I am awful at.

  • Can you view the Performance Management Chart in the free version? If so then it might be worthwhile (at least it won't cost anything).

    TP can use your HR data to calculate a TSS or rTSS for each session based on HR. If you can view that info on the PMC then it could be useful to helping you monitor your progress and avoid over fatigue.
