Currently have 28c panaracer paselas on tb14s on the best bike. Looking for something a bit lighter to throw on for the summer. What are my options if I want to keep it tanwall? Is it worth going any bigger?
-
• #1354
Veloflex Master are the best tyres I've ever used....big difference compared to Paselas, the biggest size they come in are 25. Good price on Ribble at the moment...

Schwalbe One Evo Tubeless in 25mm seem to be sold out everywhere. Any shop i've missed?
-
• #1356
Aye, been using the Corsa's since Christmas. Ribble price makes them cheaper than most tyres which is reason enough to use them!
-
• #1357
Well yeah, one's a 320tpi race tyre and the others a touring tyre.
-
• #1358
Indeed.....I've found them to be pretty sturdy so far (touch wood!).... but if your looking for a gumwall somewhere between a touring tyre and a race tyre there isn't much out there that I know of.

The Clements in 120tpi seemed to be a good balance.
-
• #1360
Yep I've got those ones but haven't tried them yet so will reserve judgement.....

It fit your description perfectly, not touring but nor race, still feel fast enough to have fun.

Try the German etailers bike24 bikediscount rosebikes

Thinking about trying latex tubes. One in particular anyone can recommend?
-

Michelin

@jakemcree
I've only tried Michelin and Vittoria. I prefer the latter because they come in a range of sizes and valve lengths, have removable valves for valve-extenders and, most importantly, are pink!I hear the Vredestein ones are particualrly light - Anyone tried them?
-
• #1366
I second this, but then again I've only use Michelin so far.
-
• #1367
Only cos the two times I've used Vittoria they've failed, which has never happened for me with Michelin. Other people have had the exact opposite experience though.
-
• #1368
Vittoria here and also not tried the others.
Do latex tubes need to be repaired differently from butyl, ie same glue and patches?
-
• #1369
Same glue and patches, easier to repair IME
-
• #1370
where are these available in 28c or should i go bigger?
-
• #1371
cheers guys
-
• #1372
Depend on your bike and rims, 28mm is plenty for everything.
-
• #1373
its to go on my 853 goff with tb14 rims. I thought bigger was better these days?
-
• #1374
Scoble in "Nah, your tyres are big enough." shocker!
-
• #1375
bigger was better these days?
If it can fit in your frame clearance that is.
...also. If a tubeless tyre burps in the mountains and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
