Cheers, the long seatpost makes it look like it would tear up the singletrack but in reality, with that setup, it climbs like shite and really only works once it's pointed downhill.
I think the new setup will be: geared for bmx track and descents, single rear brake, short seatpost, forks with more tyre clearance and no brake mounts and bigger front tyre.

I do like that build. Thinking of doing something very similar with my Explosif.
Just need a BMX bar & stem and maybe some Crazy Bobs.
