Cool video. The third interviewee nailed it, 'against racism, against sexism, against homophobia'. Unfortunately you need to go down the English football league to FC United of Manchester to see a club who actually take this ethos seriously. St Pauli are of course the model to which all clubs, IMO, should aspire to. Unfortunately football in this country mirrors our political landscape, and at present that kind of militancy seems like an impossibility for any football league team.

That's brilliant...

St Pauli is an example to other clubs in a lot of ways.
But they're also likely to get relegated to the 3.Liga this year, and have a massive fanshop in the most touristy part of town selling absolutely everything, they've become a bit of a brand as well.
Still better than English football though, does English football actually do anything right compared to the German leagues? I suppose we have more professional teams and better attendances in the lower tiers.
I went to Clapton FC the other week, which has a very clear anti-racism, anti-homophobia, left-wing stance as well, but that seems to be very self-congratulatory and self-aware, and come at the expense of actually following what's going on on the pitch

Aren't st Pauli just a bunch of hipsters?
In seem to remember someone saying that when we all tried supporting a bundesliga club years ago.... -

If it's considered hipster to challenge the myopic neanderthal attitude that unfortunately persists on the terraces then sign me up and renew my subscription to Vice, or whatever it is hipsters read these days.

I have no idea anymore. I read a book about snow ponies last night. Somehow I managed not to point out the inaccuracies. I was raging,

Tyler Walker equalled the number of goals his dad scored in his whole career today. Tidy finish too. Unfortunately we ended up doing a Derby a threw away a two goal lead. Brentford looked useful though.

Although I notice they managed not to do that today. Congrats on relegating Wigan though. Dave Whelan >>>>>

I think Libpool can still do it... C'mon, Slippy!

In contention for what?
Chelsea have clearly had the league for weeks, last night just confirmed it.
Lots of competition for the Champions League places, but who really cares about that?
The Championship is so much better in terms of competition for places.

My over optimistic Arsenal friend is really starting to believe. I'll savour his pain and disappointment when it comes.
Talking of pain and disappointment, boro can't beat the better teams. With Norwich and Wolves left to play I think it is unlikely we'll get in the top 2. >>>>>>>
