A fork mounted hanger is the preferred solution, wouldn't one of those be easier?

We're trying to avoid it as mudguards will fit under the fork crown but there's going to be a bolt through there so might as well use it.
Ive had loads of problems with judder on spesh and cannondale with canti, might just be the stock hangers are pap though -

Drill the stem and insert a noodle like that one in the pic above, very smart solution if you have a solid stem and are not worried about drilling it!
I need a 1" threaded canti hanger, ideally a nice solid one and mounted from the usual top of headset location.
Got a campag athena headset on there which soaks up a lot of fork threads and current hanger is 4mm of space, but with new stem the cable routing will be gash.
Looking for one like the VO hanger which has a neat 70 degree noodle attached so I can route the cable out the front (porteur bars with inverse lever content).
VO item is 10mm depth so no go, even with a lower profile headset.
