Yes, awesome cinematography. Check out the consequences of love (the opening scene in particular) if you liked the grand beauty.

Thanks - I think that one was one of the Astia presets with some fiddling. It does have a kind of "friendly" pop that works well with high contrast scenes.
There was a small amount of perspective correction but very minimal - trying to avoid overdoing it too much. -

I'm looking for some simple, free software to help with with tidying a few photos before I put them up onto Flickr or somewhere.
I'd like it to do cropping with guides within the crop area, so I can see those magic thirds, and rotation to a line, so I can draw a line over the image, and it rotates the photo so the line is level. Any suggestions?

A trial of Lightroom?

You Mac or PC? The new "Pictures" software for Mac should sort you out when it comes out. Lightroom is probably the best, if you can get hold of it.
If you are PC, again look for Lightroom, though Gimp is an open source free version of Photoshop.

Gimp is an open source free version of pain in the ass.

I like the first one, colours look very "clean", but "friendly", also that building (in the center, with the balconies) is intereseting.
Nice frame. Maybe it's my eyes or my head, it does look a bit weird though, like perspective correction or something.
Tl;dr - nice shot.
