• You were cracking on a bit too, could have been nasty.

Amaze balls that he felt it necessary to overtake when you were doing 44kmh and there was a queue ahead.

  • Fly over the bonnet and land on your feet is impressive, sounds very acrobatic. Must be really lucky

  • Yes, was a bit fast but anyway I don't think it was my fault

  • It wasn't. He'd (probly a bloke) just overtaken you so knew you were there and you were well lit, he just didn't look in his mirror.

    Report him to the filth.

  • I would report but he drove away and unfortunately I can't read the number plates

  • Dunno time but place is SE somewhere along the 3 route. Slippery roads maybe on here or a friend of a friend. Subscribed to the riders channel and not my video, car wasn't involved just stopped to help out.

  • 14 secs, driver turns and indicates simultaneously. Went to the trouble of indicating, just didn't look for the rider he'd overtaken seconds before.

  • Someone dashed out across Agar Grove as I was turning left into it, tried to go wide around them but the sudden change in direction was too much for my tyres and down I went. Thankfully no damage other than a bit of swellbow and some scuffed bar tape. Twice I've gone down at that junction now!

Then this morning a lady turning left from Roman Way into Offord Road went down on slippery surfaces. She was OK but had a nasty graze on her knee and road grime all over her cheek. Stayed with her for a while, she was riding the adrenaline for a good 5 minutes but I could see that shakiness coming on so I recommended she go back home as it was nearby and take an hour or two to feel human again before going to work. I hope she took my recommendation, I didn't want to be too forceful in my suggestion in case I came across as a creeper.

  • Sounds creepy.

  • So creepy

  • Surprise dog this morning in Finsbury Park sent me flying. Reprimanded the owner who mostly didn't give a fuck

  • Foot came unclipped going round a corner at about 20mph on my fixed this morning, almost managed to catch it then slammed into a curb and went flying. In one piece, seems my arm took the brunt but feels alright - just going to be a sore few days.

Bike, on initial inspection, seemed to be fine, but on arrival to work it seems my lardy ass must have hit the frame and bent one of the seat stays. Is this a write off does anyone know ?

Most devastatingly though i ripped my new Rapha 3/4's - nightmare !!

  • Rapha will try to repair the shorts.

    Not sure about the frame.

  • Doubt they'll try to repair the frame.

  • There was a Cinelli Rapha frame, I wonder if that came with the repair scheme?

  • They're all over the gear, not so much the frame. Good excuse to upgrade anyway.

Track frame needed. Any ideas ?

  • Dolan Pre-Cursa. Good and cheap.

  • Thinking of making a separate post for this, but if you came off your bike at the E&C south roundabout after hitting a pedestrian this morning, make sure the police are aware that the person you hit was sprinting between lanes of traffic. My sister gave her details, make sure you follow it up if you need to claim.

  • I hate that area, avoid like the plague

  • Hi all,

An appeal for witnesses to a collision last night:

Was on Battersea Park Road last night (18/03/15) and suffered a collision with a Volvo (an XC60, XC70 or XC90 - not 100% sure). Time was 18.40 and I was heading west on my way home from work. Was in the left lane going straight on and had a green light. Traffic on my right (in the same lane) was moving. The Volvo driver at the junction with Havelock Terrace and Prince of Wales Drive (the junction next to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home) who was heading east (ie opposite direction to me) on the same road turned across my lane into Havelock Terrace. Collision resulted. Pretty banged up but limping wounded. Would be great if anyone here knows someone who witnessed the accident and could pass on contact details.

Have reported to the police, but didn't grab any witness details at the time (mainly as no cars other than the Volvo driver hung around for long). One cyclist did stop, but I totally failed to ask for a name and number - in shock.

    Thanks.

  • Just been taken out by a car, he indicated right when I was on his outside and turned. Front wheel was run over. He stopped police and ambulance came, now on way to hospital.

  • Shit james.

  • Hope you and bike are not too badly damaged!
    Happy?? Easter!

  • Front wheel and fork are written off, needs a full assessment. I have egg sized bruises- so in keeping with Easter.

  • Frame will certainly need expert assessment. Top tube and downtube often take much of the impact.
I would not be surprised if there is damage to the headsetdset and
