You'd hope so, the bloody police station is literally down the road from where the seller makes people wait... However, when we went there, the police officer was somewhat clueless...

Anyone can explain me how the hell police work?
They have guy's number and they know the bike is stolen, but they do nothing?

Those guys are the least dodgy of all the market sellers. I chat to them most Sundays, and those bikes have been in their possession for a very long time. The Concorde is all wrong, but the guy loves it and put it together for himself (he said he isn't selling) but seems to change the setup every month. The Condor is a weird one, bad decals and messy. They have a nice old Koga Miyata that needs work, was playing with it this morning.

not sure if a reep, but this looks proper dodgy... right down to the lever mounted on the end of the bullhorn complete with hood and brake that has been swapped out to the back...

^Claims he's selling it to get a car but will swap it for a road bike.......... does look a bit dodgesome, saying that he includes a photo of himself so he would have to be a special sort of idiot/unaware if it is nicked.

Had this stolen on 8th (last wednesday) outside Angel underground station.

Big expensive ouch! How was it taken?

I'm sure most users of this forum can see why i thought it was suspect. You fail to mention anything about the specifics of the components of the bike, and make basic spelling errors when referring to the brand (it's written on the bloody seat tube CRUSER), and you're in a mega rush to sell it.

Someone who is not even aware his bike only has one brake seems suspicious.

Oh no that's terrible. I'll keep a look out. Suspect this will be stripped. usual places gumtree, ebay, brick lane etc. Contact the Police cycleforce thingy.

I know plenty of people who would refer to a bike with a single brake as 'having brakes that work'. Not a great leap to imagine, especially when an ad is badly written.
