just back from fabulous Madrid.
By chance came across a cool bike shop in the malasana area, just 5 mins from the centre.
Lovely fella rented us some SS bikes for 9 euros a day, 15 for a weekend.He didnt bother with deposit or paperwork, just trust.... nice change
Not as bike friendly as some cities but perfectly safe compared to london.It has hills, great parks and sunshine last week (end of march) 27 degrees.
