  • Almost finished - will post some pictures tomorrow. Seatpost collar went on fine; I just removed the bolt and used a tyre lever instead of a screw driver.

  • Aye, bit less brutal than a screwdriver. Looking forward to the pics.

  • picture time ?!

  • what happened to 'pictures tomorrow'?

  • He's too busy riding it if Instagram is anything to go by.

  • andyp is correct! I did a ride around bridle ways and tracks at Rutland water on Monday and a road ride up at my folks in Scotland today. The bike had road pedals and tyres on so I didn't photograph it. I have popped on some cross tyres and SPDs and will probably take some pictures in the morning (whilst waiting for the rest of the family to arrive). I will try and throw them up tomorrow.

I'm really enjoying the ride. The fit feels perfect, with the bars about 3cm higher and 3cm shorter reach than on my road bike. The steering is a lot more responsive than I expected, possibly because the bike is shorter than my road bike. It isn't very light, as frame is about 1.9kgs and the fork (with uncut steerer) about a kg. I guess the overall weight is 9-10kgs. If I race next autumn I will probably put a carbon fork and wheels on. The weight isn't a problem for general rides though, and I think I will have a lot of fun exploring on this bike. I will be interested to see how it rides with racks and luggage.

  • Here is a teaser

  • You flirt

  • Not the greatest photos as I don't have an SLR, but there you go. Merry xmas.

  • Looks great! Hope you are liking the flouro trps. They are basicly the best looking cantis ever ;-)

  • Finally took some photos that do the colour justice. In town mode.

  • Looking good!

  • That is lovely; saw this grammed by GH ..
How are you finding those tyres on road? What is the inline cable adjuster for?

  • Only put the tyres on today and haven't ridden them yet. Adjuster is for the front mech.

  • Couple of changes for summer. Brakes switched to TRP CX9 mini-vs, and changed the bars to classic drop. Finally got the steerer cut as well.

I've picked up an Enve fork for racing in the autumn. I think I'm going to ask Doktor Bob to do something interesting to the fork, along with my Thomson stem and bars.
