  • Good point. Rule 5.10.4 of the technical regulations says 'Only one homologated FIA fuel flow sensor may be fitted to the car which must be placed wholly within the fuel tank.' That would seem to preclude putting fuel flow sensors anywhere else.

  • Technical Directives, as they call them, can be brought in mid season. It's happened plenty of times in the past.
    Think off-throttle exhaust mapping, FRIC suspension etc. all changes to the technical regs brought in mid season in the last couple of years. This year already we've seen engine allocation go up from 4 to 5.

    So it can and will happen.
