No no, very good thanks. Just got to decide which ones now, they all have their pros and cons.

Michelin Jets might be another option. I've never used them, but if they are half as good as the Muds then they'll be a decent tyre.

Schwalbe Rocket Ron / Racing Ralph will also do the job.
DO YOU EVEN DECISION FATIGUE?
-
• #3030
Hold on there, you ask a tyre question in the 'cross thread and say thanks after just three responses. What sort of idiot are you, we have days of suggestions yet.
Then once you've decided on a pair we need to talk tyre pressures and whether to try and ghetto tubeless them.

I find the Ralph's good but tend to clog easily.

Very dry? This is ENGLAND!!

• #3034
Myself and Vittoria have agreed to disagree.

Panaracer GravelKing in 32mm? They have some low knobbles to help in the occasional slop, but for the most part look to be a dry weather off road tyre.
Not used them myself, but the 28mm versions on the horizon.

They were my first check, but seem somewhat lacking the kind of grip required for damp bridleways that have been churned up by horses
-
• #3037
Ah....but I was looking at the 28c road version!

challenge strada bianca...

If very dry, have you considered the larger volume slicks?
28mm Marathon Supremes are tres bon for dry rough stuff.

Schwalbe Cross Comp are significantly lighter than Land Cruisers (480g vs 615g for 35c) and seem almost as tough at the same very cheap price. Hard wearing, if a little dead feeling.
I've just outfitted my cross bike with an "off-season" 11-36 cassette. 38x36 should get me up everything the South Downs way can throw my way I think.

Schwalbe Sammy Slicks!! Got my name on 'em

Go get em slick

What was the decision on tyres?
-
• #3047
Too tight to splurge out yet. But after reading lots of reviews, if I do pull my finger out, then probs Kenda small block 8.
-
• #3048
What? They weren't even in your choices.
-
• #3049
I know, but subsequent reading up lead me to change my mind. I also thought it might do your head in.
-
• #3050
What tyre pressure do they run at?
Were we about as much use as a chocolate teapot?
